From Sarasota, homeward bound

After spending the weekend in Tampa, we took an Uber back to Sarasota where our Happy Wife was moored. I did a quick clean up while Shaun replaced the old valve cover on the starboard side engine. Although not urgent, it was leaking oil and would cause problems later if not seen to. We went to dinner by dinghy on shore and met two new lovely friends sharing the same table. We exchanged numbers and hope to connect with them again

In the morning, we walked up into town to have breakfast al fresco and left our ball at around 10am for Anna Maria

We anchored in our usual spot up the river and spent 2 nights with dinner at Riverside House on the second. We left mid-morning for Fantasy Island for the last leg of this journey home

We love anchoring at this location as its private and quiet, yet only about an hour and a half from our home base in Tampa. It's got a great little beach for the doggies and for us to do yoga and swim. Just about 15 minutes up the river by dinghy, takes us to a little biker bar that we always like to visit for lunch when we are here. Sometimes it's just nice to head out and not have to cook anything

This was a lovely ending to our months trip out. Although not the exact route we planned, we still thoroughly enjoyed every day together and there's never a bad day out on the water!
